Senior Staff-Speak:
• Doctor Button Told some stories. Amanda won last week’s contest.
• Residents advised to addend meetings and sign up for Safe Trick or Treat
• Air Hockey table to be moved to game room
• If a washing machine steals money, the current desk attendant should be informed
• Fireplace remote available at the front desk
• Robin in the building from 12-3 during family weekend
• Residents should check their mailboxes to see if they are failing out of the building
• Don’t be dissin’ the ladies. Especially the RM ladies. They is sweet.
Senate Update:

• Shawn stated that proposal should be put in writing. (Sophie states she would “cut him” after he told her to put her hand down.)
• A link to johnsonhall.blogspot.com is to be posted on the FYRE website
• Merrihew’s proposal for cameras for each floor was read. Decisions to be made in the future.
• Residents are informed to seek Jackie for official rules for Penny Wars

Proposal to spend fifty dollars on a pizza party for the winning floor of Penny Wars. {passed 18-3-3}

Proposal to purchase a refurbished iPod mini for $159 to serve as a raffle prize for hall council attendees. {failed 6-18-2}

Proposal that money collected from cans with a deposit shall be used to expand the hall’s video selection. The choice of films shall be on a list circulated through hall council. The voting shall be repeated for three weeks. After the third, the top films shall be purchased. The quantity selected shall be dependent on the amount of money raised by can deposit redemption. {passed 20-5-2}

October 2, 2005

Attendance: 56 peeps
Current Hall Balance: $1,086.23

Senior Staff-Speak:
• Approaching RM reviews, resident survey, and fire inspections
• Residents are advised to watch their due dates (i.e. Johnson Journal)
• Buttonator told three stories. If you heard them and can connect the three, be sure to hand him a 3X5 card with the explanation on it. This will give you the opportunity to win five dollars.

RM/GM-speak
• GM Patrick would like people to visit him. He is lonely.
• Wrestling party Wednesday. This means food, manliness, and a lovely trivia contest.
• Saturday at 2:00 in the main lounge, RM Stephanie will provide the opportunity to make Halloween cards for community service.
• Meet the RM’s has now begun. All residents have until the 31st of October to fulfill this requirement. (GL and home-floor RM’s don’t count.)

Senate Update:
• Tier 2 budgets have been increased to $26,000
• Discussion of “college hour”
• Capital campaign is a success!

Fundraising:
• Bake Sale yielded over $200 for Katrina
• Future Ideas: penny wars, another bake sale, necklaces/bracelets, dance, hall murder
